Even after a late start due to mechanical difficulties the Rotary Club’s annual Chicken & Rib Dinner was a smashing success!
The club sold almost 400 dinners from the time is started serving until well after the planned 2:00 finish. Cars were lined up along Maple Ridge from Medina Lanes (the site of the fundraiser) to just shy of Tim Hortons. People were still coming in after 3:00!
The dinners, provided by Matty’s of Wilson NY, included half a baked chicken, spare ribs, potatoes, baked beans, and cookies from Case-Nic Cookies.
The money raised will go toward the numerous services the Rotary Club provides. These include, but are not limited to, providing Second Graders in Oak Orchard with books, providing needy families with dinners at Thanksgiving and Christmas, and providing a scholarship to a worthy Medina graduate.
