Eric Sorensen has joined the Rotary Club of Medina this month. Eric writes:
“I came to Medina when I was in 4th grade, enlisted in the Army in 1976 where I worked on the East German boarder during the Cold War. I taught at the Armor school at Ft Knox KY, was a Tank Commander in the gulf war and was awarded the Bronze Star for combat operations.
“I left the Army in 1992. After my time with the Army I worked for Washington State DOC, then worked for the Seattle Seahawks and Sounders providing security on the field. The last job I held was working for the VA processing disability claims.
“I retired in 2012 and have been enjoying life. Some of my activities include long distance hiking, skiing, fishing, sailing, and racing cars to name a few.
“I’m glad to be back in my home town after being gone since 1976.”
Welcome back to Medina, Eric. And welcome to Rotary!
