INTERNATIONAL YOUTH EXCHANGE
Since 1975 we have been heavily involved in hosting incoming high school students from around the free world.

4 - WAY SPEECH CONTEST
A Rotary District function that enables high school students to compete in a speech contest relating to the four avenues of service. Participants receive cash awards and the potential to advance to a district level final.
MEDINA COUNTY HOME
Every year at Christmas time, we have a party for the residents of our County Home. We buy presents for everyone and entertain with singing carols, cake and ice cream. In the summer, we have a cookout and picnic for them at their outdoor pavilion.
VOCATIONAL AWARDS
Certificates of Recognition and monetary awards are made each year to outstanding vocational school graduates from throughout the county. These awards are presented at a dinner held in their honor with parents and school administrators present.
CHIC YORK SCHOLARSHIP A WA RD
A thousand dollar scholarship is awarded each year to an outstanding college bound graduate of Medina High School. On occasion we have split this award between two equally deserving candidates.
CAMP PARADISE
Medina County Society for the Handicapped. One of our own members was a prime mover in making camp paradise a reality. Medina Rotary has been involved from the beginning in providing money and manpower for the construction and maintenance of this facility.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
The club has a number of social activities that provide fun, relaxation and opportunity for interaction with other members and their families or friends. Members are encouraged to bring spouses or friends any time they feel the announced program will be of special interest. At certain times throughout the year the program will be specifically planned for both members and spouses or friends.
FUND RAISING
Member Rotary has three major fund raising projects each year - the Vacation and Consignment auction, the Benefit Golf Scramble and the Wine and Cheese party. The success of these events has allowed us to fund many local, and international commitments.
DISTRICT ACTIVITIES
The annual District Conference brings together all clubs of the district and summarizes the accomplishments of the year. Opportunities abound to share ideas and experiences through formal meetings and social situations.
OUTSTAND1NG SPEAKERS
We have always attempted to have programs of great interest to members.
INTERACT
We support the local Interact Club of outstanding Medina High School boys and girls dedicated to working together for community service.
INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Membership in Medina Rotary afford many opportunities for forming new and lasting friendships with people from around the world. Attendance at international conventions, "make-up" at other Rotary Clubs here and abroad, and becoming involved with our very active youth exchange and Group Study Exchange Programs - to name a few. In addition to these social aspects, Rotary International challenges us to participate in such world service programs as "Polio Plus". It is Rotary's dream to eliminate polio throughout the world within this decade.
